I started the Kunisada-project with collecting half-length actor portraits from the year 1852 which is marked by an enormous output of half-length actor portraits. S.Izaard mentioned that about 300 to 400 portraits have been published in this year. Now I can suppose 700 up to 800 half-length actor portraits have been designed from which I have about 580 in my catalogue. You will find these and other prints from 1852 on this site.
